Crooked Little Heart Chapter Six
Zac blushed as he looked down at Avery after her question if they were normally that rough and for a moment in the heat of the moment per say, he had forgotten that his wife, the woman now looking up at him with confusion had forgotten who he was seemingly overnight and there for she had no clue how their sex life was.
"Usually...yeah," Zac stammered as he felt his cheeks getting warmer and he moved away from her. "I'm sorry."
Frowning Avery watched as Zac moved away from her and she sat up slightly, looking at him. She know she didn't remember him or even their life together because it just wasn't real but that didn't mean her heart didn't break for him because even as much as she hated him or well at least was mad at him in her universe she still loved him and she must have really loved him in this one because she felt sorry for him. Sorry that he was feeling sorry now it seemed.
"I didn't say I didn't like it," she finally spoke as she reached out and brought him back towards her before she laid back again, pulling him over her. "I..I was just freaked out and I'm not used to it right now but maybe we could...maybe we could go slow and just make love?" she asked as she locked eyes with Zac. "C..can we do that?"
Zac listened to Avery talk and he smiled at her words, especially the last of them because he wasn't sure why she even had to ask him if they could make love. "You really have to ask if we can do that?" he asked her teasing slightly as he leaned in and kissed her on the lips much softer than last time. "Because I'm pretty sure we can..." he muttered in between a few lazy kisses.
Avery laughed some at his words and she kissed him back, "Asshole," she muttered back out teasing him too, because how could she pass that chance up? "You know what I mean," she sighed as she pulled away from the kiss long enough to remove her bra and throw it to the floor.
"I do know what you mean," Zac said before letting his lips trail down her neck and onto her breast once her bra was gone. At least now was a better change than this morning...better than her words of hating him or not loving him. She wanted him even if she couldn't remember him. That had to mean something.
As Zac's mouth found it's way to her breast Avery moaned out feeling her head fall back into the couch some, liking the contact of his lips on any part of her skin. It had been years since she felt it and god damn it she was needy right now. "I need you inside of me so bad," she was finally able to mutter out to him.
And it was like her words set off something in him that made him undress them both fast and before she knew it was positioned between her legs and just looking at her as if he wanted permission again, as if he was scared to have sex with her, which she could understand given how this morning had turned out. She had been cruel to him. Hell she'd probably be cruel to him again once this slight moment of weakness or horniness passed but for now she just wanted him, she wanted his arms around her because his arms in her old universe had felt like home and maybe they could feel like home here too and she'd feel somewhat not so out of place.
"I want you," Avery reassured him as she nodded adding on a smile just in case. "Badly."
Hearing Avery's words Zac slowly moved inside of her, a moan escaping his lips as he did so but it was soon silenced when Avery moved up to kiss him and he let her. He knew it was crazy but he was almost still scared she'd push him away and turn into the woman she had been this morning. The woman who hated him.
Kissing Zac, Avery felt herself instinctively moving with him and she closed her as eyes as she kissed him harder. The moment her eyes closed though she was instantly greeted with images of other times she had, had sex with him. Other times when he'd been inside of her and she knew..she just knew in her gut they weren't from the timeline she remembered. No, these images were new ones, one she didn't remember.
The images were enough for her to know that he had been telling the truth when he said they were usually rough and she was surprised at how willing she had been to let him take control of her in most of the images because in her timeline, the real one she liked it when she was in control or well..she did when she was with someone else whose name she refused to think of because she wasn't with him, she was with Zac and that just wouldn't be fair to him.
Opening her eyes she let her nails dig into his back lightly as she moved just a bit faster now and her heartbeat and breathing were already getting a bit hard. She wasn't sure how much longer she could last and that thought almost made her sad because it had been three years since she had last been with him...though here it had probably only been a day maybe a bit more. She wasn't sure how often the version of her that was married to Zac had sex with him.
"Fuck...Zac....fuck," Avery finally muttered out as she reached her orgasm but she kept moving with him until he came inside of her.
Falling against Avery's body after he had reached his end Zac buried his head into her neck, choosing to stay inside of her for just a bit longer, "I love you," he muttered his breathing still off. "I love you so much baby," he whispered before kissing her neck a few times. He was hoping his declarations of love were enough to bring back the woman he loved.
Avery frowned slightly at Zac's words knowing she couldn't say them back because they weren't true..not to her so instead she just opted to go with the first thing that came to her mind, "I know..." she spoke feeling his head move from her neck and when he looked down at her sadly she felt her frown get worse. Maybe she should have just stayed silent.
It was after her words that Zac eventually slid out of her though he moved behind her on the couch somehow and slid his arm around her waist and Avery closed her eyes as she yawned. It was in this moment in his arms that she really could say she felt at home even in this messed up universe...even if she still wanted to get back to her real one because she knew it better.

Two days later Avery parked her car and sighed. She had somehow gotten away from Zac, conned him into getting Stella and Owen from Jolene's by saying maybe having the kids around would fix her issues even if deep down she knew it wouldn't. Nothing could fix her knowing she was in seem weird world and away from everything she knew was true and that was why she had came here to this cemetery where she knew Jackson was buried.
Following the path to his grave site she paused when she reached it and she frowned seeing it was empty. No headstone or nothing and she just sighed and bent down touching the ground were in some other reality her son was. "How did I end up here?" she asked sadly to no one in particular since she was the only one here. "How do I get back?" she asked again not sure how to get back to her world..to the place she was used too and the place she wanted to be in. At least there she had her memories and she had the people she loved and she had a reason to be angry and pissed off at Zac.
"You know why you are here," a voice spoke from behind Avery and she turned around and raised an eyebrow as she came face to face with an old looking woman who wore tattered clothes and had the appearance of someone homeless. "You know exactly why you are here Avery."
Avery just raised an eye as she looked at the woman, "How...who..." she muttered unable to mutter anything of worth right now.
The old woman just smiled, "You made a wish, to erase your one biggest regret," the woman informed her. "Your regret has been erased like you wanted."
Hearing the woman Avery felt realization hit her as she remembered sitting out on her porch and having made that wish. Her one biggest regret had always been not telling Zac about Stella and the older woman was right. Here in this universe she she had told him everything.
"But I want to go back," Avery finally said surprised she was able to speak. "I miss the way things were and I miss Taylor. I miss my old life."
The woman nodded her head, "And you will go back...or you'll be given that choice eventually when the time is right," she spoke as she bent down to Avery's level. "You have a lesson to learn here or you wouldn't be here."
Before Avery could say anything else she watched as the woman just vanished in front of her and she felt herself fall back on the ground some. Yes, Avery was certain she was losing her mind right now. She should just have Zac commit her to some mental hospital. That was the lesson she needed.
Finding the strength to stand up Avery finally walked back to the car and she got in shutting the door behind her. Starting the car she pulled away navigating herself back to the house she shared with Zac based off of the places she had remembered on the way to the cemetery and when she pulled up at the house she saw Zac getting the kids out of the truck and she couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Stella glued to his leg as he tried to get Owen out of his car seat.
Getting out of her car Avery walked to where Zac was, "You need help?" she asked as she pocketed her keys. "I mean you have one child glued to your leg and I think that child would rather you hold her instead of holding the baby."
Zac laughed as he looked at Avery, "It's my fault really. Spoiled Stelly into being a daddy's girl," he said as he moved away slightly. "But you can get Owen and I'll take Stelly inside. Get her settled and then maybe we can order in? I mean unless you wanted to fix dinner or have me fix dinner."
"You cook?" Avery asked as she moved to the open door and proceeded to undo Owen from his car seat.
"You know I..." Zac started but stopped himself reminding himself that no Avery at this moment didn't remember he cooked. "I took cooking classes our first year of marriage," he smiled knowing it had been her idea. "Well we both did but you already knew so they were pointless to you."
Avery just laughed, "Well then why don't you prove to me how much you learned," she said as she picked Owen up in her arms. "Cook for me," she smiled as she shut the door with her hip and followed Zac inside.
She still wasn't sure what lesson she had to learn but maybe if she pretended and just followed Zac's lead through however long she was here she'd be okay. Maybe she'd stop wishing she was back in her right life so she'd stop feeling crazy.
Zac blushed as he looked down at Avery after her question if they were normally that rough and for a moment in the heat of the moment per say, he had forgotten that his wife, the woman now looking up at him with confusion had forgotten who he was seemingly overnight and there for she had no clue how their sex life was.
